BookCrossing Singapore holds monthly meet-ups at their official Bookcrossing zone – Moon River / Curry Flavor restaurant /café in Stamford Court. During these meet-ups, a certain title or author would be selected to be “Theme of the Month”.
From that moment, our members get the chance to share their views on their views on the book title / authors ever so often. This gives further opportunity for us to discuss on alternative endings or character analysis of the books we have read and in what ways we feel the author could have written it better including reasons why we like or hate the story. Every meet-up brings forward new horizons for discussions and constructive comments.
Nevertheless, we have yet to have heated debates which lead to arguments. Meet-ups are also good times to share some authors we may know of who have been writing good novels but have never been given the recognition they deserve. All in all, BookCrossing club was created with the concept of making the world into a "mobile library" where books belong to no one, yet everyone owns all the books, making and meeting a friend who shares the same passion for books with people all over the world. That's what makes BookCrossing Singapore a such a fantastic place to be!
